I'll never forget this day. It was shortly after moving back down to the city after living in the mountains for six years. It was tough trying to get used to the city again. The noise, the pollution and the lack of nature and wildlife. Stumbling upon this owl near my apartment was a true gift. There were actually two of them, one up high on a sign and this one on the ground. I couldn't believe how close they let me get to them and how many photos I took. This is one of my favorites. I really feel like the owl and I looked into each other's souls that day. What an amazing creature.
